•    Understand the condition.  Genital warts happen most particularly from sexual contacts.  You should understand that though the use of condoms may help prevent it, it is not enough assurance to get rid of the problem in the future.  Also, you must know that not even the variety of treatments will help you with your ordeal.

•    Accept what happened.  You have to be responsible for your act.  Acceptance will make you look at things positively.  It may be lighter on your part to know that a lot of people are infected by genital warts.  However, do not use this statement as a license for you to continue your bad sex habits.

•    Cancer risks.  If you are exposed to a partner who has genital warts, you must be involved about learning cancer risks as well.  The problem may lead you to extreme possibilities if not treated immediately.  Cervical cancer in women is common while penile and anal cancer in men may also happen.

•    Go for diagnosis.  Females are usually required to undergo pap smear in order to check whether there are precancerous manifestations of genital warts.  The precancerous changes should be treated at once in order not to lead to a more malignant stage.

Genital warts exposure should be taken seriously. If you do not want the scenario to worsen in the future, do your thing immediately.  Do not wait until such time that you put the blame on others.  You are still the one taking hold of your life that even the worst of conditions should be your responsibility.  Save your partner from the virus.
