Sexual Abstinence: Is It A Promising Means For Genital Warts Prevention?

Sexual abstinence is the only method which actually helps in genital warts prevention. Think of the number of people you will help if you abstain from sex. Read along for further details.

Genital warts, as we have learned, are sexually transmitted.  It may therefore be best to conclude that in order to prevent the spread of the disease, one must abstain from sex.  You may wonder if this will really be enough for genital warts prevention.

There are a lot of individuals who have different terms for sexual abstinence.  However, it is best described as abstention from all kinds of sexual intercourse such as genital intercourse, oral sex, anal sex, dry sex, mutual masturbation, or any other type of action performed for the reason of sexual satisfaction.  Even though these types of sexual fulfillment have no ability to get a woman pregnant, these may transfer an HPV infection like genital warts to others.

Sexual abstinence and STDs

Sexual abstinence is considered as a normal practice for people who have sexually transmitted diseases.  Traditionally, this is possibly the most vital issue in avoiding pregnancy.  Both male and female of all age groups purposely prefer to refrain from sex as an alternative method of prevention for everything that concerns sexual diseases.

There are also some individuals who only practice sexual activities to articulate their feelings which do not involve sexual contact.  Other people express their romantic feelings extensively by aside sexual actions.  Pleasure may be felt even without having any sexual intercourse between partners.

How could one abstain from sex?

Lovers find some activities a meaningful way to express their love without having sex.  By just walking together on the beach, watching television and movies or even just dining out and whispering sweet things to each other, sex may be abstained.  There are times that sexual abstinence can bring a more meaningful exchange of ideas and mutual understanding between lovers.

Sexual performance is closely associated to an individual’s expression and mental condition as it is a part of any person’s personality.  The capability to manage your sexual desires is an element of your character.  It is also considered a vital feature of human beings and animals.
When couples, lovers, and even mere sexual partners practice sexual abstinence, fidelity to each other’s relationship is also exercised.  Although there are couples who want to have a deeper commitment with each other through marriage and the probability of having children, there are also those who are not yet ready for this type of obligation.  In this case, sexual abstinence is deemed necessary.

Abstinence is considered an extremely successful contraceptive method. However, there are individuals who find this way more difficult to follow, especially for unmarried couples and young adults who are very sexually active.  To be able to refrain from having sex, think of the diseases you may acquire from an unsafe practice.

If you are afraid of STDs and HPV infections, it is important to practice sexual abstinence.  Sometimes, conditioning of the mind and body may be necessary to inhibit the bad practice.  It always boils down to discipline in the person.  Just like the rules of dieting for a leaner body, work on sexual abstinence for genital warts prevention.
